Bruker expands nanoflow consumables portfolio

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

February 8, 2022 -- Bruker Corporation has acquired PepSep, a company specializing in nanoflow liquid chromatography columns, specialty emitters, and components to optimize nanoflow proteomics workflows, which are extensively used in Bruker's nanoElute ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system.

Bruker also announced an original equipment manufacturer partnership and agreement with IonOpticks in Australia. IonOpticks offers Aurora columns with nanoZero UHPLC fitting and integrated, packed emitter tips that result in excellent peak shapes and maximized separation power, according to Bruker. IonOpticks will now produce the Bruker Focus series nanoLC columns with identical performance as the Aurora series.

The financial terms of both transactions were not disclosed.

Bruker's scientific instruments and analytical and diagnostic solutions enable scientists to explore life and materials at the molecular, cellular, and microscopic level.
