By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

July 6, 2021 -- GE Healthcare and Sophia Genetics announced that they are collaborating to better target and match treatments to each patient's genomic profile and cancer type.

The companies aim to develop new artificial intelligence-powered analytics and workflow solutions to serve both the clinical and biopharma markets. They will combine data from the GE Healthcare Edison platform and the Sophia DDM cloud-based platform. The Edison platform integrates and assimilates data and applies analytics and algorithms to generate clinical, operational, and financial insights. The DDM software-as-a-service provides analytical genomic insights.

The goal of the collaboration is to generate actionable insights for clinicians and researchers from complex multimodal datasets.
