May 13, 2022 -- Lunaphore and Indica Labs have partnered on the development of a biological research tool involving software from both companies. This new solution will involve a combination of Lunaphore’s Comet spatial biology platform and Indica Labs’ Halo digital pathology image analysis software.
The Comet platform enables multiplex staining and image acquisition for the study of human tissue slides, using label-free antibodies that allow for high flexibility. Indica Labs’ Halo software allows for rapid quantitative analysis of these tissue slides powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Separately, both tools have broad research applications, particularly in the areas of immuno-oncology and neuroscience. When combined into this novel biological research solution, the technologies provide quantification capabilities for fluorescent markers and cell phenotypes of any number, according to their unique biomarker expression. Additionally, the new combination product can explore the distribution and spatial relationships between cell phenotypes, applying to tumor cells and immune cells.
