Arc Bio offers early access to Galileo One test

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

October 23, 2020 -- Arc Bio announced the launch of an early access program for its Galileo One next-generation sequencing (NGS) test, previewing the product this week at the virtual IDWeek conference.

Galileo One is a research use only test based on the Illumina NGS system that allows end users to perform microbial detection and quantification in their own lab without needing bioinformatics expertise. The sample-to-report workflow detects and quantifies over 6,000 microbial strains in less than 30 hours.

Arc Bio said it plans to accelerate research and application of metagenomics in key disease areas such as COVID-19 with high unmet need with the launch of Galileo One.

Participants in the early access program will receive not only Galileo One, but also product support, training, and the option to customize certain features.
