September 14, 2021 -- Bio-Techne has unveiled ExCellerate iPSC Expansion Medium, a new medium to support the expansion and maintenance of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for research and translational applications.

ExCellerate is designed for regenerative medicine, including stem cell workflows such as cell isolation, reprogramming, genome engineering, cell expansion, differentiation, and characterization, according to the company. It is not made with any components derived from animals or humans and is ideally suited for use in translational research to produce iPSC-based cell and gene therapies, Bio-Techne said.
