May 11, 2020 -- Regeneron Pharmaceuticals has established a human genetics research collaboration with the Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine (CCPM) at the University of Colorado Anschutz.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Regeneron Genetics Center will sequence 450,000 patients, pairing the data with anonymized health records from CCPM in an effort to aid the development of genomic and personalized medicine.
CCPM stores more than 8.7 million anonymized patient records, Regeneron said. The five-year-old research program seeks to integrate personalized genomic information with clinical data via a research biobank. The new initiative allows the organizations to discover, on a large scale, the genetic factors that cause or influence a range of human diseases.
