July 7, 2021 -- Research informatics company Flywheel and imaging analytics software developer HealthMyne have agreed to use their technologies to accelerate radiomics research.

The companies will combine Flywheel's cloud-based informatics platform with HealthMyne's radiomics technology to be used in clinical trials and oncology research. The goal is a combined open architecture that will facilitate the automation and streamlining of data curation, quantitative image analysis, and radiomic computation for clinical trials and oncology research.

Using the platform, researchers will get a better understanding of tumor or lesion response to specific therapy, which will enrich clinical trials and better customize treatments, according to the Healthmyne.
