Twist launches enzymatic fragmentation library prep kit

May 25, 2021 -- Twist Bioscience has unveiled its Twist Library Preparation Enzymatic Fragmentation Kit 2.0, an all-in-one solution designed to maximize accuracy and efficiency in library construction and amplification when conducting next-generation sequencing (NGS).

Twist's Enzymatic Fragmentation Kit 2.0 combines library preparation steps into a single-tube reaction which, alongside a low chimera rate and Twist's uniform target enrichment workflow, translates into high-quality library preparation and NGS data, the firm said.

The kit is designed for NGS applications such as liquid biopsy, somatic variant testing, and genome-wide association studies. Twist's prep kit also prepares samples where the amount of sample input DNA is either very limited or heavily degraded, as in the case of many banked oncology samples, the firm said.
