July 6, 2021 -- Contract development and manufacturing organization Forge Biologics and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland announced that they will collaborate on a gene therapy workforce development program.
The program is called Forge Forward and is a partnership with the university's National Center for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM). Its goal is to attract researchers with good manufacturing practice (GMP) training to work with Forge on gene therapy.
Candidates selected for the program will learn how to work in both research and GMP environments. They will also get hands-on experience in cell culture and sterile techniques through lecture and laboratory teaching.
