By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

June 10, 2020 -- Toulouse-based startup Cell-Easy has been approved to open a private stem cell manufacturing plant in France.

This makes Cell-Easy the only private pharmaceutical company able to manufacture stem cells on an industrial scale in France, according to the firm.

In other news, the company has signed its first partnership agreement with the University Hospital Center in Toulouse to produce mesenchymal stem cells sourced from qualified fat tissue. A first clinical trial is on its way to develop treatments to fight against Alzheimer's disease.
