Novasep creates new business unit

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

March 5, 2020 -- French life sciences service and technology provider Novasep has created a new Biopharma Solutions business unit to direct its activities in Belgium.

The new segment is in response to increasing demands within the biopharma market, particularly in the gene therapy and viral vector specialties. Over the past few years, the construction of the new bioproduction units Senrise-IV and Senefill at the company's Gosselies and Seneffe sites in Belgium has prompted considerable development, warranting the new business unit.

Cédric Volanti will lead the unit as president. He most recently served as chief operating officer for Delphi Genetics and previously held various operational and management positions at biopharma firm SGS, PharmaCell (now part of Lonza), Eurogentec, and Pyxis Consulting.
