By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

February 28, 2020 -- Menarini Silicon Biosystems has announced the company will upgrade its CellSearch and DEPArray systems to help advance clinical research into liquid biopsy.

The CellSearch system update will allow researchers to perform molecular characterization of circulating multiple myeloma cells from blood samples. It can also analyze single cells when combined with the DEPArray system.

The DEPArray system will now come in nine colors to help clinicians evaluate the heterogeneity of rare cells' marker expression. In addition, it will include artificial intelligence technology to help automate cell identification and selection.
