Flow Robotics establishes North American site

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

September 3, 2021 -- Flow Robotics has established a North American subsidiary in Princeton, NJ, and will soon showcase its first robot, the company announced.

The company's Flowbot One will debut at the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening's 2021 Americas Sample Management Hybrid Symposium, September 9 and 10 in La Jolla, CA. The robot is designed to transform how liquid-handling responsibilities are performed in the laboratory by automating manual pipetting tasks.

The company said the robot played an "integral" role in the COVID-19 pandemic by speeding the analysis of COVID-19 tests while keeping laboratory assistants safe.
