NanoString posts higher revenues, lower net loss in Q2

August 6, 2021 -- Record orders for its spatial molecular imager helped NanoString Technologies increase its total revenue and lower the company's net loss in the second quarter.

For the period (end-June 30, 2021), NanoString had total revenues of $33.6 million, up from $21.1 million in the second quarter of 2020. The company reported instrument revenue of $11.8 million, which included $7.4 million of GeoMx digital spatial profiler instrument revenue.

NanoString had a second-quarter net loss of $18.6 million compared with a net loss of $23 million from the same period a year ago.
