Vida Ventures adds $825M to portfolio

June 25, 2021 -- Vida Ventures announced the closing of Vida Ventures III on $825 million in an oversubscribed fund. The company now has over $1.7 billion of assets under management.

Vida III will continue its investment approach of identifying and investing in biomedical innovations. The capital was raised globally from existing and new blue-chip institutional investors, including endowments and foundations, sovereign wealth funds, pensions, financial institutions, family offices, funds of funds, and notable individuals, the company said.

Vida has assembled a team of scientists and strategic advisers who will focus on identifying science and company building in areas of drug discovery and development.
