April 15, 2021 -- BioLife Solutions has launched a new line of high-capacity, controlled-rate freezers with a focus on the cell and gene therapy industry.

The cryogenic freezer platform is a high-capacity, controlled-rate freezer designed specifically to meet the needs of cell and gene therapy developers as a critical cold chain management platform. The product line features large volume freezing up to several cryovials with a racking system, temperature programing, and sample charting for quality assurance, as well as a touchscreen controller.

The precision temperature control, with a range between -180° C and + 50° C and freeze rates between 0.01° C and 99.9° C per minute, will help reduce costs by decreasing liquid nitrogen requirements, according to the firm.
