Cellaria, BioLamina partner on new cell culture models

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

February 11, 2021 -- Cellaria and BioLamina have announced that they plan to collaborate on developing new cell culture models for cancer research, tissue modeling, drug screening, and research in basic and regenerative medicine.

The two firms will develop cell reprogramming methods, large-scale induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) expansions, and lineage differentiation for human cells and animal cells for vertebrate and nonvertebrate species, Cellaria said.

Cellaria makes cell models, while BioLamina provides human recombinant laminin, which is used to generate and expand iPSCs.
