Swift Biosciences debuts new DNA library kit

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

October 7, 2020 -- Swift Biosciences has launched Swift 2S Sonic DNA library kit for low-cost enzymatic fragmentation-based library preparation. The kit is compatible with mechanically fragmented double-stranded DNA to support next-generation sequencing (NGS) applications.

The new kit leverages highly efficient end repair, adenylation, and adapter ligation chemistries to streamline sample handling and reduce preparation times to two hours. The 2S Sonic kit is available in two support options for adapter and indexing strategies on Illumina sequencing platforms. The kit is also compatible with Swift Normalase kits, which provide enzymatic NGS normalization technology during NGS.
