DNA Script’s new kits for Syntax System enable same-day turnaround for q/dPCR assays

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

June 9, 2022 -- DNA Script has launched what the company contends is the industry’s first solution to enable same-day turnaround for custom quantitative/digital polymerase chain reaction (q/dPCR) assays with a new generation of kits for the Syntax System to print both primers and probes in hours.

The new kits are designed to accelerate assay development workflows in genomics, particularly for q/dPCR, next-generation sequencing, in situ hybridization, and fluorescence in situ hybridization assays. Labs will be able to design and print q/dPCR assays directly on their benchtops in as little as 8 hours, according to DNA Script.

"We see this product launch as a game changer, enabling Syntax customers to be done with their assays before others have even started. More than ever before, science and innovation are in a race for results, whether it is an upcoming scientific publication, a new diagnostic test, or even a vaccine. Researchers need to get there faster, and we will help them to get there first," said DNA Script CEO Thomas Ybert, PhD.

DNA Script made the product announcement to coincide with the Advances in Genome Biology and Technology Conference, where the company gave a presentation on recent data showing the new applications enabled for its Syntax System.
