May 20, 2022 -- Piramal Pharma Solutions has brought its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production plant into operation, following the completion of its first clinical and commercial scale projects. The new facility, located in Aurora, Ontario, occupies over 10,000 square feet dedicated to manufacturing processes. The plant is part of a CAD $30 million investment by Piramal Pharma Solutions to enhance its API production capabilities.
Equipped with two reactor suites and filtration/drying equipment, this newly online site can produce a wide range of APIs, including highly potent APIs with low Occupational Exposure Limits. Since beginning operation, the plant has instituted process validation and engineering programs, in addition to registration campaigns for clinical resupply to address the needs of clients in the pharmaceutical industry. This facility enables Piramal Pharma Solutions to continue delivering quality APIs for its customers through the maintenance of regulatory compliance and high pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
