March 18, 2022 -- China's HitGen has entered a research collaboration agreement with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and Duke University over the use of the company's OpenDEL DNA-encoded library (DEL).
Under the agreement, HHMI and Duke will use OpenDEL to perform selections against G-protein-coupled receptor targets. OpenDEL is an affordable self-service drug discovery DEL platform for startups, biotechs, and academic researchers.
The effort will be headed by 2012 Nobel Prize in Chemistry awardee Dr. Robert Lefkowitz, a professor of medicine and biochemistry and chemistry at Duke and a principal investigator at HHMI, and Dr. Howard Rockman, a professor of cardiology and medicine and cell biology at Duke.
