By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

October 1, 2021 -- Eagle Genomics and the Earlham Institute have entered into a partnership that is focused on providing tools required to analyze, explore, and leverage complex microbiome data.

The partnership will include collaborative R&D, consultancy work, licensing, as well as deploying Eagle's hosting and networking capabilities. It will also provide strategic insight as part of a steering group on new pipelines, the organizations said in a joint statement.

This could include research into the following areas:

  • Classification and genome reconstruction in complex environments
  • Biological signaling network resources for human and model organisms
  • Global patterns of antimicrobial resistance found in microbes
  • The persistence and evolution of human-associated microbes
