Agilent to fund biotherapy incubator in India

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

January 30, 2020 -- Agilent Technologies has announced a partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to advance biotherapeutic research in the country.

The institute aims to examine and report on biotherapeutic products for the Indian market. Under the agreement, Agilent will fund an incubator at IIT New Delhi that helps researchers establish best practices for identifying and characterizing biopharmaceuticals. The funding is part of Agilent's corporate social responsibility initiative to train researchers on protein characterization.

The incubator will be part of the Indian government's center of excellence for biopharmaceutical technology. The center will also perform protein analysis for startups that come out of the incubator.
