August 12, 2021 -- Precision NanoSystems (PNI) announced it is expanding its clinical manufacturing capabilities with a new 75,000-sq-ft facility in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The facility, which is currently under construction, is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2022. It will house the company's new global headquarters and will include multiple good manufacturing practice suites for manufacturing RNA therapeutics.
PNI's new facility will include a new genetic medicine biomanufacturing center partially funded with a grant of $25.1 million Canadian dollars ($20.1 million U.S.) from Canada's Strategic Innovation Fund to support the country's efforts for future pandemic preparedness through the manufacture of RNA vaccines, PNI said.
