January 12, 2022 -- Scitara has closed a series B financing round with an additional investment of $15 million. The funding will aid Scitara's growth plans to solve the challenge of laboratory data integration.

The company's growth has been fueled by the introduction of its scientific integration platform (SIP), a cloud-native infrastructure that facilitates data standardization, data mobility, as well as flexibility and adaptability to a dynamic laboratory ecosystem, the company said.

Scitara SIP integrates scientific data across an enterprise and in tandem with artificial intelligence and analytics tools, can provide scientists with new insights to drive faster decision-making. Scitara SIP, which is powered by Scitara's digital lab exchange platform, is designed to comply with the requirements of regulated markets.

The company said it will use the funding to accelerate platform innovation, deliver customer-driven technology offerings, and grow its partner ecosystem. Additionally, Scitara said it plans to build a community of scientists, developers, and industry consultants to help address customer needs.

The financing was led by existing investor Northpond Ventures with participation from Flybridge Capital and experienced financial advisers to the biopharma and life science tools industry.
