December 8, 2021 -- Agilent Technologies' Cary 3500 UV-Vis spectrophotometer is now compatible with Agilent's OpenLab software. The update provides labs with the technical controls to acquire, process, report, and store data more securely to comply with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Code of Federal Regulations Part 11, or EU Annex 11, in good manufacturing practice-certified facilities.
The Cary 3500 UV-Vis software can simultaneously collect data, automatically generate a calibration curve, and determine sample concentration data in a single measurement in less than five seconds, which eliminates variability introduced during the measurement process, Agilent said. OpenLab includes secure database storage for electronic records, software licensing, and data security settings. In addition, it includes e-signature workflow and enhanced audit trail review capabilities.
The new Cary UV networked workstation can now be integrated into an OpenLab customer environment, making it easier to maintain multiple systems by connecting them to a single OpenLab server, Agilent added.
Agilent offers services in the life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets.
