908 Devices releases oligonucleotides assay kit

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

November 1, 2021 -- 908 Devices has launched a new assay kit for identifying and quantifying oligonucleotides. The new kit was introduced at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry conference in Philadelphia.

The new kit, ZipChip Oligos, is designed to be used with the company's ZipChip open access platform. Together, the kit and platform minimize sample preparation burden, perform high-resolution separations, and allow for the direct introduction of samples into mass spectrometers, the company said. The platform integrates with Thermo Fisher, Sciex, and Bruker mass spectrometers and leverages microfluidic-based capillary electrophoresis and electrospray ionization technology. The kit enables mass spectrometry to be completed without the use of harsh ion-pairing reagents, 908 Devices said.
