Sciex, Genedata to develop new enterprise MS software

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

July 30, 2021 -- Sciex and Genedata have formed a strategic partnership to develop new software solutions for biopharmaceutical mass spectrometry (MS) applications.

The goal of the partnership is to jointly develop new workflows that leverage Genedata's Expressionist enterprise software platform and the analytical capabilities of Sciex's hardware, including the ZenoTOF 7600 system. The new workflows should allow biopharmaceutical customers to characterize progressively more complex molecules and accelerate the development of biologics.

Genedata's Expressionist software automates and harmonizes processing, analysis, and reporting of mass spectrometry data. The software will be used on data generated from Sciex's new liquid chromatography-MS (LC-MS)/MS instrument, the ZenoTOF 7600, for low-level metabolite detection.

Financial details of the collaboration were not disclosed.
