Sciex, 908 Devices launch biotherapeutics characterization platform

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

August 4, 2020 -- Sciex and 908 Devices have made the ZipChip platform for Sciex mass spectrometers available to the public. This platform expands mass spectrometers from end separation solutions for large and small molecule characterization.

The ZipChip platform is an electrophoretic separation device on microfluidic technology that integrates electrospray ionization with mass spectrometry. The rapid, high-resolution technique will allow biotherapeutic developers to obtain comprehensive information and quality attributes on intact or near-native species.

ZipChip is compatible with the Sciex Triple Quad, QTrap, and TripleTof systems.
