June 24, 2020 -- Waters introduced its new Arc high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) system for routine quality control testing in the pharmaceutical, food, academic, and materials markets.

The new product provides a cost-competitive package for laboratories that run a variety of HPLC quality control methods. The Arch HPLC system offers ultralow-analyte carryover, high injection precision, and backpressure tolerance to 9,500 pound-force per square inch at 5 milliliters/minute, according to the firm.

The Arch HPLC runs on Waters' Empower 3 Chromatography Data software. Along with the new equipment, Waters also made its Empower Business Continuity (BC) LAC/E with SecureSync data backup and recovery solution available for laboratories.

Waters expects the Arc HPLC systems to be available for global distribution next month.
