Akadeum, NanoCellect collaborate on cell workflows

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

June 10, 2020 -- Akadeum Life Sciences and NanoCellect Biomedical are partnering to develop and manufacture solutions for cell sorting. The collaboration will be focused on improving rare-cell workflows to advance cellular research applications.

The companies will combine their core products and technologies to provide improved cell isolation, analysis, gentleness, and rare-cell sorting efficiency to single-cell workflows. The collaboration will improve cell isolation workflows by performing a gentle cell enrichment using Akadeum's microbubbles followed by high precision selection of the rare cells of interest using NanoCellect's Wolf cell sorter. This will prepare the cells for downstream applications and sequencing.

The companies are focused on improving efficiency for immune-oncology, genomics, and antibody discovery applications.
