Seer study shows power of engineered nano-bio interactions, deep access to proteome

August 24, 2022 -- Life sciences company Seer is highlighting the results of a study detailing how the combination of proteomic methods, nanoengineering, and machine learning enables the capture of thousands of proteins.

According to the company, the paper -- published August 20 in the journal Advanced Materials -- demonstrates the performance of the technology underlying Seer's Proteograph Product Suite, which provides unbiased, deep, and rapid proteomics studies at scale.

Seer's Proteograph Product Suite, which is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic procedures, includes proprietary engineered nanoparticles, consumables, automation instrumentation, and software.

"This paper in Advanced Materials highlights some of the ongoing innovations we are building into our products, which enable deep interrogation of the proteome at the peptide and amino acid level," said Omid Farokhzad, chief executive officer of Seer. "Our Proteograph Product Suite is being adopted by customers around the world to conduct first-of-their kind studies that explore the proteome at a depth, resolution, and scale that was not possible previously."
