July 29, 2022 -- Seegene provided a glimpse of its global expansion initiatives at the 2022 American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Chicago, held July 26-28.

At AACC, the company displayed its fully automated Starlet-Aios (all-in-one system) for which it has obtained the CE-IVDR Mark.

The system enables hands-free PCR workflows and integrates syndromic assays that can test for multiple targets using a single test tube. Its modular design enables small hospitals, local clinics, and public health centers to integrate it into their workflows, the firm said.

Seegene also displayed its Novaplex product line for the U.S. market, which includes a test for detecting the monkeypox virus. The company said it recently strengthened its leadership team as part of the company's efforts to expand into the U.S. market.

The South Korea-based firm also noted that it recently obtained EU approval for more than 30 tests that can detect COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, human papillomavirus (HPV), other sexually transmitted infections, gastrointestinal infections, and drug resistance. If you like this content, please share it with a colleague!
