NanoString launches cloud-based, integrated informatics ecosystem for spatial biology

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

June 15, 2022 -- NanoString Technologies has launched its new AtoMx Spatial Informatics Portal (SIP), a cloud-based, integrated informatics ecosystem for spatial biology with analytics that enable data sharing and collaboration.

The AtoMx SIP is designed to provide streamlined workflows to manage, analyze, and share data from NanoString's GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) and CosMx Spatial Molecular Imager (SMI) platforms. According to NanoString, the AtoMx SIP will provide spatial biology researchers with a scalable solution reducing compute times from days to hours, while enabling secure data sharing and collaboration.

Using cloud infrastructure, AtoMx provides compute capabilities that scale with datasets while ensuring easy access to analysis methods for CosMX SMI through a pipeline orchestrator that enables users to create custom analysis pipelines and, for GeoMx DSP, the system offers all current local data analysis tools in the cloud.
