June 8, 2022 -- Waters has announced new instruments, software, and product enhancements to drive drug discovery and development. The company made the announcement at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry 2022 Annual Conference.

Among the products unveiled by Waters is a new Xevo G3 quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometer that is up to 10 times more sensitive than its predecessor for qualitative and quantitative analyses of challenging molecules.

The company also announced a new Confirm Sequence app on the waters_connect software platform to help scientists using a Waters liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) system to confirm the nucleic acid sequence of therapeutics and identify impurities that could compromise product safety and efficacy.

In addition, the Waters Select Series Multi-Reflecting Time of Flight (MRT) System is now compatible with ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC)-MS with an available electrospray ionization source to enable scientists to accurately resolve and measure low (<200 ppb) concentrations of sample analytes at UPLC acquisition speeds for metabolomics, metabolite identification, or peptide mapping applications.
