New funding open for early-stage startups, women scientists in New York

December 22, 2020 -- A new program is available for financing of up to $500,000 for early-stage life science startups that are led by women and people from minority ethnic groups through the New York City-based Deerfield Management company.

Deerfield's new "X-Seed Award" will be granted to new New York City-based companies led by women or minority groups. The awards program is being run in conjunction with the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Interested applicants have until the end of January to apply.
