December 2, 2020 -- Thermo Fisher has announced it has designed a new high-resolution mass spectrometry system for accurately extracting isotopic data from very small samples.
The Neoma Multicollector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) system is suitable for a wide range of applications in earth sciences and biomedical research, according to a statement from the company. Compared to the company's Neptune instrument for MC-ICP-MS), the new model is much more flexible and easier to use, and it provides much greater access to isotope ratio data, Thermo Fisher explained. The system enables extraction of isotopic information from samples with the "highest-sensitivity ICP interface" and "the lowest noise detectors available," the company said.Copyright © 2020 scienceboard.net
