November 4, 2020 -- Sanofi has won the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Overall Facility of the Year Award for its digitally enabled continuous biomanufacturing facility in Framingham, MA.

ISPE's Facility of the Year Award program celebrates the commitment and dedication of individuals working for different companies worldwide to enhance patient health and safety through innovation and advancements in pharmaceutical manufacturing technology. The award was established in 2004. ISPE is a not-for-profit organization serving members across the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle.

Sanofi's Framingham facility opened in October 2019 and was one of the first facilities using intensified, continuous biologics production technology. The facility is also paperless and data-driven, which enables Sanofi to achieve higher levels of productivity, agility, and flexibility. The facility launched its first commercially approved product in September 2020.
