Certara launches COVID-19 clinical database

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

July 24, 2020 -- Centara has launched the COVID-19 Clinical Outcomes database, which provides information on the results of clinical trials and observational studies on the novel coronavirus.

The database uses publicly available study results to compare the viability of potential treatments and vaccines for COVID-19, including their safety, efficacy, and risk factors. It currently contains results from 68 studies on COVID-19 therapeutics and will ultimately include data from more than 500 registered studies.

The COVID-19 Clinical Outcomes database can be found on Certara's Clinical Outcomes Database Explorer (CODEx) interactive interface. Interested users must register through the COVID-19 Pharmacology Resource Center.

The database is funded by the COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator, an initiative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome, Matercard, and others.
