KromaTiD releases PinPoint FISH Probes to expand genomics solutions

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

May 18, 2022 -- KromaTiD has introduced its proprietary Pinpoint Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) Probes to strengthen genomics research. The PinPoint FISH Probes build upon existing genomic assays while providing improved resolution and signal strength, while minimizing background noise. Additionally, the probes allow for rapid biomarker detection and quantification of chromosomal rearrangements, targeted mutations, and structural variants with high sensitivity.

The Pinpoint FISH Probes can be labeled with five fluorescent probe color options, alongside KromaTiD’s whole chromosome paint probes. This optimizes the utility of the probes for qualitative and readily operable genomics research as well. Furthermore, this assay technology facilitates single-cell analysis with chromosome enumeration detection capabilities that are upgraded from bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) FISH probes.
