July 13, 2021 -- Strateos has launched SmartLab, a modular cloud-based software platform designed to assist life science research organizations in connecting onsite research and development (R&D) labs with remote-controlled facilities.

The hybrid package enables laboratories to toggle between onsite facility control and the company's remote-controlled SmartLab Studios application, according to Strateos. The first available SmartLab module, Collaborate, focuses on solving operational challenges found in core labs, including managing experimental requests, asset and workflow calendaring, and executing between teams and individual users, Strateos said.

With the module, data can be automatically captured, and scientific workflows can be centralized in order to speed up the development cycle, according to the firm. The company is focused on applications in small-molecule and biologics drug discovery, cell and gene therapies, and synthetic biology.

Other modules are currently being developed by Strateos.
