June 8, 2022 -- Agilent Technologies has announced new liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) quadrupole mass spectrometers that the company says will raise the level of built-in instrument intelligence and offer a higher level of instrument diagnostics to maximize system uptime for customers.
The Agilent 6475 triple quadrupole (TQ) LC-MS system includes intelligent reflex, an automated sample reinjection function that intelligently "reflexes" to specific analysis conditions providing immediate validation of results, improving the speed of analysis and reducing operator involvement.
Agilent's 5977C GC-MSD system is the latest in trusted single quadrupole GC-MS instruments. With the introduction of HydroInert source in the 5977C, customers can explore hydrogen as a viable alternative to helium as a carrier gas for GC-MS with minimal impact on performance and minimize dependence on helium as a nonrenewable resource.
Other offerings include the Agilent 7000E and 7010C TQ GC-MS systems. The 7000E GC-TQ instrument is designed for optimum operational efficiency for high-throughput labs. The 7010C GC-TQ has been designed to address the most challenging analyses, providing the lowest detection limits to the attogram level.
Agilent made the announcement to coincide with the 70th American Society for Mass Spectrometry Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics.
