Pershing Square invites applications for 2022 research prize

October 4, 2021 -- The Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance is inviting applications for its 2022 Pershing Square Sohn Prize for Young Investigators in Cancer Research.

The prize awards $200,000 per year for three years to six New York City-based scientists to support cancer research. Applicants must have two to six years' experience running their own labs by the award start date of July 2022. In addition, they must hold a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree and be affiliated with a New York City research institution.

The program is in its ninth year and is currently supporting 52 researchers at 12 institutions with more than $30 million in funds, the alliance said.

The deadline to submit an application is November 8.
