June 17, 2021 -- Switzerland-based contract research organization (CRO) and contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Solvias announced it has inked a deal to buy Chemic Laboratories, a move it said will help it gain a stronger foothold in the U.S.

Chemic, based in Canton, MA, will expand Solvias' portfolio of integrated testing and analytical services.

Chemic's founders will join Solvias' leadership team and continue to lead operations in the U.S. They also will continue to operate Chemic's product development businesses as separate entities, according to a release.
