By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

October 22, 2020 -- Veristat, a global clinical research organization, has launched its Global Cell and Gene Therapy Center of Excellence, which is composed of a multidisciplinary team of scientific experts in clinical development.

The center will leverage what the company has learned from supporting numerous client cell and gene therapy programs, including the first gene therapy approved in Europe, Glybera. Through the center, Veristat will offer tailored solutions across the entire clinical development pathway. The center will serve as a mechanism for Veristat to share insights, successful strategies, and best practices with customers.

Services offered through the center include accelerated pathways and special designations for therapeutics, review of operational protocols, novel implementation strategies, expertise in logistics and handling of live cellular material, bespoke regulatory strategies, and long-term follow-up strategies to meet global regulatory requirements.
