Find Cell promotes reproducibility in cell culture work

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

May 20, 2021 -- A new technology called Find Cell from Find Genomics enables cell line tracking with genetic verification, which allows scientists to digitize, organize, verify, and find cell culture-related information.

Find Cell was created by molecular cell biologist Sophie Zaaijer, PhD, and computational biologist Tyler Joseph, PhD. The new software platform aims at improving the reproducibility of cell-based science.

The Find Genomics team provides online interactive cell culture workshops for cell biologists in which Find Cell is used to train students, postdoctoral researchers, and principal investigators and promote consistency and optimized day-to-day efficiency, according to the company. Find Cell is cloud-based and freely available for academic laboratories.
