Deepcell hits 1 billion images in cell morphology atlas

August 26, 2021 -- Deepcell, a life science company developing artificial intelligence (AI)-powered cell classification, announced that its cell morphology atlas now includes over 1 billion cell images.

Deepcell's repository of AI-defined cellular features can be used to improve models for cell characterization and isolation. Further, it can help identify patterns not visible to the human eye. The company plans to use the cell atlas to unlock biological clinical applications that serve as a resource for Deepcell's microfluidic and imaging AI models to profile and enrich target cells.

Stanford University developed Deepcell with the goal of reinventing single-cell analysis through the creation of a quantitative dimension of cell morphology.
