NuProbe touts success of deep-learning model

By The Science Advisory Board staff writers

July 19, 2021 -- NuProbe Global is touting research on a deep-learning model for predicting next-generation sequencing (NGS) depth from DNA probe sequences.

The research was published July 19 in Nature Communications. Company executives highlighted the success of the model in the study, saying the model was able to predict NGS depth accurately with between 93% and 99% accuracy.

They also said the research marks progress in computationally designed NGS panels with better sensitivity, with implications for improved patient outcomes.
