Thermo, Moderna ink COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing deal

June 2, 2021 -- Moderna has signed a deal with Thermo Fisher Scientific to provide manufacturing services and supply packaging for its COVID-19 vaccine.

Under the agreement, Thermo's manufacturing site in North Carolina will be used for aseptic fill and finish, labeling, and packaging to support the production of hundreds of millions of doses of Moderna's vaccine. Production will start in the third quarter of 2021.
