April 30, 2021 -- Bio-Rad Laboratories on Thursday announced financial results for its first quarter (end-March 31).

First-quarter 2021 net sales were $726.8 million, an increase of 27.1% compared to $571.6 million reported for the first quarter of 2020. On a currency-neutral basis, quarterly sales increased 23.4% compared to the same period in 2020. Bio-Rad's first-quarter net income was $977.4 million, compared to $685.9 million during the same period in 2020.
